Bank of England  White Branch Banknotes

 were issued from the following Cities

starting in 1826 and ending in 1938 :- 

Birmingham,  Bristol,  Exeter,  Gloucester,  Hull,  Leeds,  Liverpool,  Manchester, 

Newcastle on Tyne,  Norwich,  Plymouth,  Portsmouth,  Swansea.

 

 

BIRMINGHAM Ten Pound Note of 1938.   Signed by   K.O.Peppiatt

 

Twenty pound note issued in LIVERPOOL 1937.

 

ONE HUNDRED Pound Note issued in LIVERPOOL.   The notch on the left of the note, is an accounting aid.

 

FIVE HUNDRED Pound Note 1936 issued in Liverpool.

 

ONE THOUSAND POUND NOTE   1938.   Only issued in London.
