        Inverted Watermark. Treasury English banknote.  Printed on stamp paper  T5 3a

      The overprint reads  'Piastres silver 120'    'Piastres silver one hundred and twenty'   

Used by the British Military Expeditionary Forces in the Mediterranean and the Naval
Expeditionary Forces from  May to June 1915.  Supplies of the banknotes were
sent to Malta and Alexandria.
